Abstract: This paper studies the first plane problem of micropolar elastostatics assuming that the governing equations are given in terms of stress functions of order one. With the knowledge of the fundamental solutions for the dual basic equations we establish the integral equations of the direct method. A numerical example illustrates the applicability of these integral equations.
