Abstract: This paper is about the aplications of the simulation of the continuous welded rail (CWR) track buckling subjected to thermal and vehicle loads. The simulation is based on a nonlinear computational model which takes into account the geometric nonlinearity of the rail subjected to high axial forces and also the nonlinearity of material type for the resistances of the fasteners and the resistances of the ballast. There are presented like examples of aplications of the simulation of CWR track buckling the influence of rail type, the influence of curvature and the appraisal of temporary train speed limits in function of the temperature of the rail, for a CWR track segment with known railway line state and geometry, for a given buckling probablility.
