Abstract: In this paper, we attempt to present some aspects regarding the modeling and virtual prototyping of the mechanical systems by using “multibody systems” (MBS) environment. These programs automatically formulate and solve the motion’s equations, by taking into consideration the multibody system model of the mechanical system, involving geometric constraint equations, kinematic restrictions (motion generators), elastic and damping elements, external forces and torques (depending on the working environment). The flow chart analysis is presented, having in view the degree of freedom of the mechanical system. Finally, there are presented specific aspects regarding the modeling and analysis of the mechanical systems by using the commercial MBS ADAMS of MSC Software.
