Abstract

The world cities, even they are different regarding geographical, cultural and economical aspects, they has the same problemes: climatic changes, traffic jams, air and noies pollution. So it resalts that has to be taken a major importance regarding the road traffic reorganization solutions and methodologies in the urban area, which could affect social and economical life of the cities. The PhD thesis entitled "Studies And Researches Regarding The Optimization Of Urban Traffic Flows" inteds to realize a homogeneous structure between two important areas: traffic and environmental engineering, which affects day by day the life of people on the planet. The main goal of the PhD thesis is to analize the urban traffic flow models, seeing which one of these fits the best, to optimize them, finally acquiring the reduction of the noise produced by road traffic.
