Abstract: | The subject of this paper is included in the “Automotive Technology” area, namely in the “Road
Traffic and safety” section, since it concerns the analysis of the vehicles’ arrival time in a certain point of a
street.
The analyzed segment of a street represents a part of an important road that is in fact the entrance into the town
from the Bucharest direction. It has been studied using the real data collected in the field and afterwards the
data has been grouped, analyzed and related to tables and diagrams. Since the arrival analysis is based on
mathematical functions, which predict the traffic strength, some mathematical relations were used in order to
be related to the probability that a certain number of vehicles arrive in the observation point. In the end of the
paper, the results of the experimental data are discussed and the proper conclusions are stated. |
