Abstract: | The PhD thesis has the field of study and research in the area of interference of the automotive industry, containing comparative studies between alternative fuels, fuelling systems on the two stroke spark ignition engine at different compression ratios and their behavior during the combustion process.
The objectives of this research are to reduce fuel consumption, to increase engine efficiency and to reduce pollutant emissions.
Studies and research on various advanced fuel-air formation fuelling systems using different types of fuels on the two stroke spark ignition engine lead to the following:
- Determining the optimal operating parameters of the advanced fuelling system, the air-assisted direct injection (aDI);
- Modelling and simulating the engine operating conditions;
- Analysis of the combustion process and of the resulting emissions;
- Identifying the main influences on the combustion process of the two stroke engine. |
