ROLUL PROGESTERONULUI ÎN REPRODUCEREA UMANĂ ASISTATĂ

Abstract

The necessity of progesterone supplementation in assisted reproduction cycles is currently well established and accepted. Implantation potential is diminished if there is a decrease in the amount or duration of progesterone production by the corpus luteum or if there is a poor endometrial response to progesterone. Thus, various studies have shown that administration of progesterone is important for successful implementation of assisted reproduction cycles. This systematic review aims understanding the necessity of progesterone supplementation and also brings a sufficient amount of knowledge necessary for those involved in assisted reproduction to take an informed decision on the choice of treatment and to optimize birth rates.
