Abstract: | This paper proposes a simple method for determining the performance of
a system composed of a wind turbine – (WT) and a permanent magnet synchronous
generator (PMSG). By using the WT and PMSG characteristics, the system
equations are deduced, from which can be calculated the basic variables: speed,
currents, voltages, couples, operating at points of maximum power for specific
wind speed values. For a certain wind speed, one can actually calculate all
variables that define the points of maximum power operation. |
